Co-Lead and Creative Director
Far Out Games, 2021-2022
I was elected by my peers to be Co-Lead and Creative Director of our student team, Far Out Games, for Team Production I & II. Under guidance of our professor, KireDesigns, I learned how to lead a team through a traditional game production pipeline and ship my team's first game demo, Labyrinth of the Magicaps. I was responsible for facilitating project management through the scrum framework with fastidious documentation to present weekly progress to our producer. I designed the narrative and wrote the script for Labyrinth of the Magicaps, as well as its missions and levels. I also illustrated the character art for principal characters, Margot, Hazel, and Elder Agaric. Margot's character model is also one of my contributions to this project. As a teammate, I am always willing to go beyond my role to help the team and keep the project on track.
Labyrinth of the Magicap's demo was released on Itch.io in Summer 2022 and Far Out Games was dissolved after graduation. This project was an important learning experience that taught me the importance of scope and how to be flexible as a professional.
