Game Designer
Uproot Team, 2022-2023
I was recruited by Ryan Young (Small Hedge) as a Game Designer for Uproot in Summer 2022. I was responsible for restructuring the project's original documentation and given creative freedom to refresh Uproot's narrative and levels. I was successful in honoring Uproot's original vision while developing its lore and creating an overarching narrative. As a teammate, I encouraged creative input from the entire team and created opportunities for collaboration within the project.
I left the Uproot team on good terms in Summer 2023. The project's scope was significantly reduced before its release in 2024. Though my narrative and levels are not reflected in the final release, Uproot's visual elements and enemy AI survive many of the concepts I pitched.
