Hi, I'm Charles Rynd! I am a creative all-arounder with professional experience in illustration and game development.
After three years of teaching K-12 art, I am seeking an opportunity to rejoin the video game industry. As I close this chapter of my career, I am grateful I had the opportunity to give back to my community and share my passion for the arts with the youth.
I am a goal-oriented self-starter with a commitment to contributing to my community, whether that's my campus or the studio. I am most successful when I feel challenged and thrive in project-based work environments.
I graduated from the Art Institute of Tampa with my BFA in Game Art & Design, minoring in Animation. In my time on campus, I founded the AiTampa Game Design Guild and was highlighted as a Featured Animator at AiTampa's F8 2019.
I served as Co-lead and Creative Director of my graduating student production team, Far Out Games. Our team produced Labyrinth of the Magicaps (2022), a RPG demo published on Itch.io. Shortly after graduation, I was hired as a Game Designer for a project called Uproot (2024), also available on Itch.io.
In my spare time, I work on my passion project, Lúnasa Hearth, a farming RPG inspired by Irish mythology. I also write collaboratively with my partner and draw comics recreationally. I love to create and share ideas with like-minded creatives.
I hope to join a new team where I can gain more experience and continue to grow as a creative. I'm excited to see what this new chapter brings.
